DecoForme is a pre-finished decorative batten and offers consistency of toning and the warmth of a timber look. It is a lightweight product and very simple to cut and install. Due to the construction of DecoForme it is a very stable product and does not have the typical issues associated with solid timber such as warp, twist, cracking and fading. The ease of installation and the many methods of install available saves time and labour on site, and in addition does not require maintenance over time (such as re-painting) which results in further savings.

All DecoForme profiles have a moisture resistant medium density fibreboard substrate (MR MDF)

All DecoForme profiles have a melamine foil wrap on all 4 sides. This is essentially the same product that you would find on a standard kitchen cupboard front

The melamine foil surface layer is 0.2mm thick

Yes, all DecoForme profiles have a join. This is always located in 1 of the short sides. We recommend installing DecoForme so the join is placed against a backing board or wall, or in the case of a screen or stairwell, place the join to the less visible side.

DecoForme is supplied in 3600mm individual lengths

For stock colours please allow 3-5 days including delivery. For non-stock colours please allow 6 weeks due to shipping from Australia. Air-freight options are available for smaller projects provided the required length is no longer than 2700mm. Allow 2-3 weeks for air freight.

DecoForme has been designed to be an easy to use DIY friendly product. Any joiner, builder or weekend warrior can install DecoForme. For commercial applications we recommend using a certified builder, joiner or fitout company

No, this is can be done by your local joiner.

This depends on application, for smaller profiles such as 31 x 31 or 17 x 35 direct sticking using Gorilla FixALL High Tack Adhesive. You can also use Scotch Extremely Strong Mounting Tape to hold the profiles in place while the glue sets. In some ceiling applications concealed clip systems such as the Hafele Striplox or Lincoln Sentry Flush Button systems may be required. For suspended ceilings please refer to our DecoForme product release document. In all applications it is critical the installer ensures the DecoForme battens are fit for purpose.

We have a set price list which is a piece rate and based on smaller volume of 1 – 30 lengths as a general rule. For larger volumes we price per project

Edge tape is applied by a local joiner in most instances. It can also be direct fixed on site by a qualified tradesman

Due to the moisture resistant MDF substrate, DecoForme is inherently very stable. Some bowing may occur if lengths are left unsupported or incorrectly stored. Some slight bowing may also occur in applications where DecoForme has been installed with only top and bottom support and the span is greater than 3.0m.

No. DecoForme is a decorative product only

For residential DecoForme carries a 5 year warranty. For commercial the warranty period is 12 months. Please refer to full warranty document.

DecoForme must be stored in a dry environment and on a flat surface, supported at 600mm centres as a minimum. DecoForme must be protected on a sides and ends using suitable cover sheets.

For screens where DecoForme is only fixed top and bottom, only the 50 x 70, 50 x 100 and 40 x 100 profiles must be used. Strictly no exterior use and not recommended in wet areas or environments of high humidity. Not suitable for structural purposes Cannot be cut in a lineal direction. It is recommended to seal off all cut surfaces to prevent moisture ingress. Not recommended for areas where high traffic may cause damage, or applications where DecoForme may sit on the floor and be susceptible to damage from vacuum cleaners or mopping.
